Sold Mintons Porcelain dish, France, white with green flowers
Sold Beautiful large round glazed earthenware dish with green floral decor on the edge and in the middle we see the green flowers again. Mintons was a large pottery factory in Staffordshire, which existed from 1793 to 1968, so large that they were the leading pottery factory in Europe in the Victorian era!
The Minton pottery is also known for its wall tiles, among other things, they supplied wall tiles to the House of Parliament and the United States Capitol.
This large green dish from England is marked by Mintons, Walbrook with the letters 2, 4 in a circle and the text Mintons WR and again the numbers 4 and 12 at the bottom.
The Mintons dish has a very small hairline on the back and a chip in the edge of the Mintons dish, otherwise the Mintons dish is in good condition.
