The Botanical garden plate, presentation plate, vintage
This vintage ceramic plate from The Botanical garden features a special flower, the African daisy, the flower resembles a gerbera but with a slightly wilder look!
The vintage plate from 1972 was used as a dinner plate, but it is also a nice plate to hang in the kitchen as a wall plate. In 1972 came the introduction of the Botanical Garden at the Portmeiron potteries factory in Stoke on Trent, designed by Susan Williams-Ellis. Turnover increased enormously due to the sale of these collection plates, cups, mugs, etc. There was and is a complete line of this design. The collection is still being expanded with new motifs and models.
This vintage plate from the Botanical Garden with an image of the African daisy with butterflies is in good condition.
(The plate cannot go into the dishwasher, otherwise you will slowly lose the print).
